ABOVE THE SURFACE

Using photography within some of my processes gives me the freedom to explore layers on various levels. Ideas are developed by combining photography with light and mixed media printmaking processes that are tactile and immersive. Using textured plates constructed to create some of the character of a place or subject. The final pieces are often tactile in their printed image, with impressions of embossed textures revealed through light and shadow, or felt on a work’s surface.
